Hi. Based on your username, the article Ben Kerschberg appears to about be about you. This is known in the Wikipedia world as a conflict of interest, and the article may be considered for deletion unless you handle it very carefully. In particular, you need to be very careful about following the guidelines of maintaining a neutral point of view, supporting all your statements with reliable sources and avoiding the trap of advertising (either accidently or deliberately). I previously edited the article to remove several non-neutral statements, some of which you replaced. I don't believe it is in your best interest to indicate any positive or negative response to your book - if you have notability, it is from your book - even if you had gotten horrible reviews, you would still gain notability from it. Secondly, linking to your website for the book title can be considered advertising. Since the book has a valid ISBN number, and can be located online (as you can see from here [1]), providing a link to your website serves no additional value to the reader. Finally, you changed the ISBN number from the ISBN-13 number to the ISBN-10 number. As stated in the Wikipedia guidelines for ISBN numbers, the ISBN-13 number is preferred when available. I verified the ISBN number from the book's page on Amazon, and as you can see from the Booksource link above, it does work. To help you out, I'll make the changes in the article again. In the mean time, please read the Wikpedia guidelines for your article - they'll help you in your effort: WP:V, WP:RS, WP:N, WP:BIO, WP:COI, WP:SPAM, WP:NPOV. If you have any questions, ask me here or on my talk page. - CosmicPenguin (Talk) 18:15, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Paul Mandell

[edit]

The article Paul Mandell has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 12:55, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Phillip Merrick

[edit]

The article Phillip Merrick has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No claim or evidence of notability in the several years this article has existed

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
